M.Com. (Masters of commerce, the two years post graduate course)

Eligibility - A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Masters of Commerce Course, Must have passed the examination for the degree of Bachelors of Commerce of this University (Three Years Integrated Course) of the degree of B.Com. (Old Course) of this University or Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) or B.Com. (Banking and Insurance) of B.M.S. degree examination or and examination of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto.

or

B.M.M. degree examination (only for Management Specialization subjects) as the M.Com.

Degree levels.

Further that the amended ordinance 2310 relating to the eligibility criteria prescribed for the M.Com. degree course has been brought into force with effect from the academic year 2006-2007.

At the time of admission, these students shall have to submit the following certificates:

a) Graduation Mark Sheet in original and copy thereof.

b) Attested Copy of School College leaving certificate in support of date of Birth.

c) Undertaking as per Appendix-B from the student and guardian as given in Admission Form.

d) They should fill in the P.G. Registration form in due course (as per notice and get their admissions confirmed failing which the admission shall be liable to be cancelled)

Students passing examinations equivalent to T.Y.B.Com. from outside of the Maharashtra State and migrating from other Universitie/s Board and seeking admission to the M.Com. class (Part I & II) will be admitted only on the production of Provisional Eligibility certificate, from the Mumbai University. They should submit the migration certificate, statement of marks and passing certificate in original along with a copy within two months the date admission failing which their admission will be cancelled

Standard of Passing

The learner to pas a course shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate for each course where the course consists of internal Assessment & Semester End Examination. The learner shall obtain minimum of 40% marks (i.e. 16 out 40) in the internal Assessment and 40% marks in Semester of End Examination (i.e. 24 out of 60) separately, to pass the course and minimum of Grade E in the project component, wherever applicable to pass a  particular semester . A learner will be said to have passed the coursed if the learner passes the Internal Assessment & Semester End Examination together.

Allowed to keep terms (ATKT)

1) A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of number of

    courses of failure in the semester I

2) A learner shall be allowed to keep for Semester III if the he /she passes each of

    the semester I and semester II OR a learner fails in not more than two Courses of

    semester I and nor more than two corses of Semester I Semester II
