Lala Lajpatrai College is committed to minimize and sustainably manage its use of electricity. The college believes in reducing the consumption of electricity produced by non-renewable resources by switching to clean energy sources like solar energy for purposes like lighting the campus.
Keeping in mind the same commitment, in the academic year 2018-19 the Solar Power Panel (Captive Solar PV Power Generation Plant - Ongrid- 3KWP) was installed on the college rooftop on 10th October 2019. A total of Rs. 3,34,981 including shipping and GST was spent on the same.
It harnesses unlimited and abundant Solar resources and generate self-sustainable green and clean energy using Solar PV power generation system on our college roof top.
