One Day Industrial Visit To Ram Fashions, Mahape - 14th September 2022

Objectives of the Visit:

  1. To enable the students to see first-hand the working of a real industry
  2. To enable the students to relate the theoretical knowledge they acquire in class with practical knowledge gained after personal observation of the operations of the industry
  3. To develop a sense of reality of how businesses are run in practical ways vis-à-vis the assumptions and presumptions that students usually have in their minds

Brief Summary:

The college continuously strives to provide the students with a holistic 360 degrees approach to learning new concepts and acquiring practical knowledge. As part of this process, the college organizes periodic visits to industries whereby the students get exposure to the working of these industries and the students are able to see in real time how these industries function and thereby they are able to co- relate theory with practice.

This visit was to Ram Fashions which is a reputed manufacturer of all kinds of leather and sports shoes and exporting their products worldwide. This company manufacturers shoes for several well-known international brands and the students got an opportunity to observe how the shoes are made from the beginning to the end product.

The visit was an enriching experience for the students adding to their wealth of knowledge.

A total of 49 students took part in the industrial visit from BFM,BAF and BBI Department of which 18 were females and 31 were males.

Outcome of the Visit:

  1. The students got practical insight into the manufacturing process taking place in the
  2. The students were able to co-relate and apply many theoretical concepts which they had studied to what they saw at the industry and in this way they got an idea of what the reality looks like.

The visit was a rich source of experiential learning for the students and an eye-opener for many of them.
